Elmira pulled away from me and I coughed. I can't believe I hugged her. I looked up and then sideways before staring at her. She looked so weak but was trying to hide it.   I stood up. "You should have some rest" . She smiled. "Don't worry. I'm fine". She was made to stand up but fall back. I held her quickly. "You ain't fine. You should lie down. I'll get you something to eat". She nodded and I helped her lay on the couch. I went to my closet to get a blanket to cover her up. After covering her and making sure she's comfortable. I left the room. Gary was standing outside. He bowed. "Gary, can you get me your food. I mean the ones you humans eat and something that helps regain strength. You know them right?". He nodded. "Milk can help". I smiled. "Thanks. Please be fast about it". He bowed and left. I went back into the room. Elmira was already asleep. I sat down on the bed, staring at nothing. There was a great silence in the room. I decided to paint to keep myself busy and also wait for Gary. I got everything ready and sat down to paint. I did not have anything in particular to paint. And I do not want to paint my usual nature stuff. I looked around the room to see if there is anything I could paint. My eyes fell on Elmira, sleeping peacefully. Her mouth slightly opened. Her red hair falls across her face, leaving only a few parts visible. I batted my lashes and smiled. She will be perfect for my painting. I just hope she doesn't wake up before I'm done painting. I began to paint her picture, although she moved in some instances, I was still able to get a perfect picture of her. I pulled the paper off the board and put it on the shelf above. I can't risk Elmira, Maya, or anybody seeing it. I walked back to sit down, wondering why Gary hasn't brought the things I sent him. I was still thinking about going to check on him when I heard a faint knock. I opened the door with my eyes. Maya walked in smiling. She was holding a tray. She walked in fully. "She's asleep?". I nodded. "What's that?". She chuckled. "You asked for food for her right?". I nodded. "Well, I decided to bring it in his stead. And some milk too". I rolled my eyes. "You should drop it on the table". She nodded and dropped it and then came back to sit with me on the bed. "Do you know her favorite?". I furrowed my brows. What's she talking about?

She smiled. " I mean Elmira's Favorite food". I rolled my eyes. Do I need to know?. "Answer me". I groaned. "I don't know, ok?. She chuckled. "And I don't need to know" I mumbled this part. She chuckled. "It's. We heard a sound that made Maya stop talking. "She's awake!" she whispered, happily. I nodded. Maya ran to her and  Elmira sat up. "Did I pass out?" . Maya chuckled. "I don't know". I rolled my eyes. "You didn't". Elmira stared at me but said nothing. Maya stood up. "I brought you something to eat". She went to carry the tray of food. She sat down and then placed the tray on her lap. "It's your favorite. I stood up and went to the closet. I got dressed in a simple white shirt and black pants. I packed my hair into a man's bun and left the closet.   "I'll leave you two". Maya furrowed h er brows. "Where are you going?" . I sighed . "To tak e a walk" . She made a pup py face. "Can I go with you?" . "No, you sho uld stay with your sister" . She po uted. " But. "No, but" I walked closer to her a nd kissed her forehead. "Take care of yourself and your sister, ok?" . She nodded but with a sad face. I laughed. "Come on, I promise to ta ke you out tomorrow, after school" . She widened her eyes. " Is that a promise?". I nodded. "Pinky promise?" . I smiled . "Pinky promise" . She chuckled. "I believe you . You should go but make sur e you are back before night" . I smile d. "Yes mummy" . * * . I woke up this morning feeling kinda strange. The feeling is getting stronger and unpredictable. The closer we're getting to the full moon, the less I could resist Elmira. So many times I felt like holding her tight. So many times I lose control of myself. I kept experiencing some strange things, especially in the morni ngs when I wake up and I almost kissed her twice. I am not sure how long I'll be able to resist her, so I've been avoiding her as much as I can but mom wasn't making things easier. She kept sending her to my room. And anytime I complain she says she has the right to come to my room, cause she's my mate. So many times I wondered why my mom decided to stay in the Island pack and when I tried to make her go back to her coven, she was so adamant to stay. She said I needed help and she won't be leaving until she's sure the help has been rendered

And when I asked her about the affairs of the coven. She said Eunice will take good care of it. Today, I've decided to keep my door close. Nobody comes in and nobody goes out. I can't risk getting into trouble with Elmira. Having any intimacy with her to me, it's troubl e. I stood up and went to the bathroom to take my bath. When I was done, I got dressed in simple shorts and a shirt and sat down on the bed. In two days, it will be the full m oon. I have decided to go on a short journey without mom's notice. I won't have to deal with trying to resist Elmira. I heard a knock on the door and I groaned. "Who is that?" . "It's Gary, m y lord" . I groaned. "I thought I sai d no visitor?" . "Yes, my lord. Bu t the council see ks your presence" . I groan ed. "Fo r what?" . "I don't know my lord. But I thin k it's important" . I hissed. "Tel l them I will be there soon" . "Ok, my lord" . "And make sure n obody knock my do or until I'm out" . "Ok, my lord" . I lay on the bed, staring at the roofs. Just when I thought I won't have to see anyone's face today. "Gosh!!" I cursed. I stood up and went to change into something formal. I left the room and went straight to the meeting hall, ignoring every greeting. They all stood up when they saw me. I sat down. "I'll appreciate it if the meeting can be as brief as possible" . "We will make it as brief as possi ble, Alpha but we have to wait for your mother" Lord Raymond answered . I groaned but said nothing. After a brief silence, mom entered with Elmira. I furrowed my brows. Why is she here?. They walked up to us and m om offered Elmira a seat by my side. I groaned. What's my mom trying to do?. "Well, I have decided to officially introduce you all to our fut ure Luna. I batted my lashes in surprise. Did she just say, Luna?. "The full moon will be in two days. The wedding will have to hold tomorrow" . I blinked my eyes. Did she just say wedding?. I narrow ed my eyes. "What wedding?" . Mom smiled. "Your wedding of course. We've been ma king plans for two weeks" . "Two weeks? . without m y consent?" . "Yes , dar ling" . I hit the table angril y and Elmira flinched. "That ain't proper!!" . Mom hissed. "You ain't proper either. Cause if you are, you will have done the needful". Elmira busted out into series of laughter and my eyes switched. Did she just laugh at me?
