No One Pov's . "I asked you something, Alice" Aaron brings Alice out of her thoughts. She looked at him and then turned her face in another direction. "Where would she be?" She muttered nervously and started preparing breakfast. Aaron sighed knowing that Alice is trying to shove Aana's topic away. "You promise her to come soon" Rex snapped at his human. He was mad at Aaron for not returning home on time as he promised Aana. "You talk to me after 24 hours only to sneer at me. " Aaron frowned, seeing his wolf going crazy for Aana. Rex was not talking to him, since he messaged Aana that he will meet her at home. Rex didn't like the way his human made her wait and attained a stupid meeting. "It was not a stupid meeting" Aaron snapped at his wolf after hearing his thoughts. "It was an important meeting and I wanted to surprise Aana when this project would have been completed. " Rex scoffed upon hearing his human's reason. "You want to surprise her by hurting her. "It's not like that and why are you behaving like this with me? Yesterday evening also you were growling at me without any reason," Aaron asked, remembering how tired he got after working for more than twelve hours because Rex didn't share his power with him. "I'm behaving like this because you're an asshole who makes his mate wait. First, you make her wait, saying you have to attend a meeting and then you don't reach home on time" he snapped at his human. "And yes, I growled at you in the evening to remind you about the promise you made to Aana but instead of thanking me you blocked me. So that you can continue your meeting. " Rex growled at his human and blocked him before Aaron would have said something in his favour. Aaron sighed and looked at Alice who was serving food on a plate for Aaron and her. He smiled and kissed Alice's cheeks. "I must have upset Aana by not arriving home on time," He thought, observing Alice's red eyes. He already guessed it was because of Aana who must have cried the whole night and this was enough for him to realise why Rex is mad at him and also to feel guilty because of his behaviour towards her. "I'm starving. " Alice chuckled and pushed Aaron, bringing him to the world. He looked at Alice who was taking two plates towards the dining table

"We can romance after breakfast" He smiled seeing her blissful smile which was enough to make his day. Aaron and Alice were having their breakfast. That's when his phone rang. He yawned and looked at the display, finding Christian name. "Whole night you were at the office?" Christian asked without waiting for Aaron to speak when he picked up his call. "Yeah," Aaron muttered confusingly, not able to understand why he was asking such a question. "Have you lost your mind, bastard?" Aaron moved his phone away from his ear when Christian yelled at him. "Why are you yelling at me like I did the biggest crime by working the whole night? Moreover, it's not the first time I did this" Aaron frowned after munching the food in his mouth. He felt his wolf's presence as he unblocked him. "Indeed, it's not the first time when you were working the whole night but when you had to work all night then why did you promise to meet Aana at night?" Aaron rolled his eyes. "She told me that she is going to confess her love to you last night and I know all this because I was the one who helped her with the decoration. She purchased a ring for you from her savings and also prepared a special dinner for you. She was so excited yesterday and you ruined everything fucker. She must be so upset

" Aaron gulped upon hearing him. He felt like his heart stopped beating for a moment while Rex whimpered, feeling worse because of his human careless behaviour towards his mate. "She was about to confess her love, Rex and I ruined everything. Instead of sorting out everything, I hurt her" Aaron closed his eyes and started cursing himself. "Aaron" He came to his senses when he heard Christian's voice. "I don't know what is going on between you two but I felt something weird in Aana's behaviour. " Aaron stood up from the dining chair and went away from Alice, not wanting her to hear anything. "Weird?" . "Yeah. Like she is not okay. Her eyes were red and she was covered in sweat like she was on the edge of having a panic attack. I remember when I met her for the first time, she introduced herself as Alice and was in terrible condition and yesterday I felt like I saw the same girl in her. She was not okay but I ignored it when she excitedly started preparing a perfect proposal for you.
