The Vampire's Mate
Epilogue

2 years later. "Where's the damn Doctor?!" Sebastian yelled. All the maids bowed their heads, unable to answer their King. Cassandra flinched when the pain hit her once again. She rubbed my belly and took deep breaths. Sebastian looked at her and smiled nervously. "Love, she'll be here soon. Are you alright?" Sebastian asked. Cassandra rolled my eyes at how stupid his question was. Of course, she's not alright. Cassandra gasped when another pain hit her belly. "GET ME THAT DAMN DOCTOR, SEBASTIAN!!" Cassandra yelled as loud as she can. They were shocked while looking at her. While catching her breath, she grabbed a pillow and threw it to Sebastian, who was frozen on the ground. He walked towards her and held her hand. "I'm sorry," Cassandra calmly said and forced a smile. Sebastian shook his head and smiled at her. "It's okay love. I know you're having a hard time because of our little one," he said and rubbed her belly. Cassandra smiled and closed her eyes. Soon, they heard footsteps coming in their way. She opened her eyes and saw Sebastian's messenger, panting while sweating profusely. "Your Highness, the doctor said that she'll be late because of the thunderstorm," he said. Cassandra glanced at the window. She could see the heavy rain pouring in the dark skies that brought thunder and lighting. She touched her belly and heaved a sigh. The weather wasn't on her side. Cassandra saw Sebastian talking to his messenger when the pain hit her once again, but this time it's fierce. Her eyes widened. "SEBASTIAN!" Cassandra yelled. Sebastian ran to her using his vampire speed. "What is it, love?" Sebastian asked worriedly. "Don't be surprised, okay? I need you to remain calm," Cassandra said while resisting the pain. "What is it?" he asked. "My water bag just broke," Cassandra said. His eyes widened, and he let go of her hand. "Oh god! What the hell. You what?!" Sebastian mumbled, "Damn it! What the fuck?! WHERE'S THE FVCKING DOCTOR?! CALL THE FCVKING DOCTOR NOW!" he added hysterically. Cassandra tried reaching for his hand, but another pain emerge. "Come on furball, don't suddenly move," she pleaded weakly. Seems like their child wants to come out now. Cassandra kept on taking deep breaths while watching Sebastian pacing back and forth
"Sebastian," she called, but he's preoccupied with what he's doing right now. Cassandra let out a sigh. "Sebastian," Cassandra called her again as she could feel that their baby's about to be born. "DAMN IT SEBASTIAN! I SWEAR TO GODS! IF YOU DON'T COME HERE RIGHT NOW, YOU'RE GONNA SLEEP OUTSIDE OUR BEDROOM, FOREVER!!" Cassandra yelled. Sebastian's eyes went wide and hurriedly went back to her si de. She tightly held his hand. "It's coming. Fuck, it's coming," Sebas tian said while panicking. Cassandra an d squeezed his hand when her bellyaches. "What should I do?!" Sebastian a sked while trembling. He glanced at the messenger at he went pale. "I'm going to call the doctor ag ain, Your Highness," the messeng er said and went out of the room. "Please! Let him out, NOW!" Cassandra pleaded while cryin g. Sebastian kissed her on the forehead. "You need to do it, love. One push. Jus t one big push. Please," Sebastian plea ded. Cassandra followed him and pushed. "It's a boy, love. Our little prince," he said while crying his eyes out. She heard claps a nd cheers from the maids and everyone in the castle. Cassandra looked at their son
Sebasti an was about to put him on her side, but Cassandra notices something that made her nervous. "Love, why is he not crying?! He's pale! Do s omething!" Cassandra worriedly said. We need you here," she whispered, "Please, you can't leave Momm y and Daddy, son. Breathe! You need to breathe!" Cassandra wept and hugged the little body of their ch ild. Sebastian was crying too. He put his hand atop Cassandra, where it was lying on their son's chest. And then, a nother mirac le happened. Their son cried. His tiny little cries resonated in the castle. Cassandra couldn't help but cry too. She thanked the Moon Goddess for another miracle she had given her. "Hush now my son. I'm here," Cassandra said while smiling. She touched her s on's little hand and gently kissed it. "For nine months that you stayed in my belly, for nine months that they tried t o assassinate the both of us, for nine months of hardship, pain, and happiness. Thank you for being born, my son. Thank you so much!" Cassandra said and sobbed. "Your path may not be easy because of what you are but always remember that we will protect you, love you and guide you no matter what. We will risk everything, even our lives. We love you, son," she said. Sebastian hugged her and kissed her again. Their son did something that made their heart melt, he smiled. The doct or arrived and apologized. She took the baby in Cassandra's hand and covered him with a clean cloth. She brought her things with her and cut the umbilical cord. "What's the name of the Prince, Your Highness?" the doctor asked while smiling. Sebastian and Ca ssandra looked into each other's eyes and smiled. "Apollo. His name is Luther Apollo Blood," Cassand ra said. The door smiled while tending to their chi ld. Sebastian lovingly looked at his son and spoke.
